Not So Basic

Happy Friday y'all!!! I am SO ready for the weekend and it looks like it's going to be a gorgeous one in DC!:)  Here is a fun little weekend-ready look that would work great from day to night.  This top is suuuuper super cute for evening with a really pretty and unique open back detail.  Pair it with a little denim jacket over top it and works perfectly for day too.  Then throw off the jacket and you're ready to dance the night away!

I'm obsessed with these glittery sandals- they're so pretty in person and surprisingly they go with a TON of different outfits (glitter is the new neutral- I'm starting it right here right now!;)  The little white envelope clutch pictured has been a really great buy too- it literally goes with pretty much everything in my summer wardrobe!  Love it.  I got it last year but this one is really similar (love that it comes in other cute colors too besides white!)  I'm loving this one too for more of an evening look!

I also think a little cropped denim jacket is SUCH a style staple for summer!! This white one was a great find because it gives you different options than your standard blue denim jacket would.  Most notably, you can wear it with blue jeans and avoid that Canadian tuxedo look - hehe;)  H&M has really awesome denim jackets- I bought a blue one there that I have worn for yearrrssss and I really need to replace it.  This is similar to the one I'm wearing.

I love distressed denim for the weekend.  It feels like something a little naughty I couldn't get away with during the week lol;)  So I instantly feel in weekend mode!  These are a really pretty bright blue color that's different from all of my other denim.  It looks like they're sold out, but these have a similar feel.  And finally these are a fun update on a classic aviator- rose gold!

Hope everyone has an amazing weekend! Besitos xoxo

Cheers Mate!

I don't know about you but I'm ALWAYS on the lookout for cute, work-appropriate blouses.  This top fits the bill nicely and is perfect for spring/summer.  The structured, utility-style design is dressy and polished-enough for the office, yet the lightweight material and easy fit makes it something you'll be comfy in all day long.  The best part is the gathered, elasticized waist with sweet bow belt, which cinches in the smallest part of your waist creating an hourglass figure.

Here's how I'd dress it up for drinks after work.  Is it cocktail hour yet??! #soready lol;)

Boho Chic

This outfit is perfect for when you know you're going to be running around all day, and need something that is comfortable and easy, yet looks chic and pulled together.  I have been reaching for the new peasant tops in the boutique a LOT lately for these reasons, and they really are a wonderful transition piece from winter to spring.

This blouse is light and comfy and allows the kind of movement you need during an active, busy day.  It's casual, yet has just the right amount of detail to create a visually interesting, layered look.  Pair with flats for day, and throw on a fun heel to transform in seconds to a perfect happy hour or casual evening out look.

Side note: This jacket has been one of the best purchases I made last year!  It goes with EVERYTHING and I love that it's dressy enough for work.  I love it so much that I bought it in two different colors- and there are a lot of other colors available, but you know, restraint;)  Anyway, highly recommend!

Coffee Date

Happy Tuesday y'all!  I am LOVING all of the cute peasant tops we have in the boutique for Spring.  They're really cute and comfy and the best thing is you can either dress them up or dress them down.  I have a dressy-casual office environment so I pair one of these tops with a skinny jean and a fun heel and BAM I'm out the door in the morning- easy peasey!:)  A great structured jacket dresses up the look so it's office-appropriate, and also keeps me warm because we all know how cold offices can be!! (side eye!! lol:)

This look is SO SO versatile because you can easily dress it down with wedges or flat sandals too for the weekend.  A pretty, romantic blouse like this is perfect for a coffee date, brunch, or just running around town looking fab;)  *It is quite loose and blousey, so I like to tuck mine in for a more form-fitted, dressier look.

**Also I literally got a number AND a free cookie in this top so I can testify that it's cute enough for a date too!;)
